I have a button, now what??

Well, I just spent an hour learning how to design a button for my blog and then how to write the code for the button.  Now I can't figure out how to put the button on my blog.  I don't mean just as a blog posting either.  This has got to be easier than this or so many people wouldn't be doing it!  Maybe tomorrow.
